This 1943 British Fiji Silver Sixpence rests in a hand crafted setting made of recycled 14k yellow gold wire . I make each setting by hand separately from the coin. The coin does not have a hole drilled in it or any metal soldered to it's edge.
The obverse of the coin features a portrait of King George VI by Percy Metcalfe. The reverse has the coin value, year, an an image of turtle. The metal content of the coin is 90% silver. The coin was minted from 1942 to 1943 at the San Francisco mint (mintmark on reverse below date).
